Seaton

A few birds at Portland this morning including 3 or 4 Yellow-broweds. However deteriorating conditions heading in from the west put an end to proceedings there. With Pec Sand at Seaton being seen outside of a hide, decided to try my luck there.

There had been a Spotted Crake on the Axe Estuary but hadnt been seen for a couple of days.

Lots of saltmarsh edges and places for Spot Crakes to sneak around in. Not helped by not knowing where to concentrate the efforts. Was about to give up when a local came in. After telling me which area it preferred he then promptly located it!
