More Blackies

In December managed to identify 18 individual Blackbirds. In the first few days of Jan when I was housebound think have found a further 5

Bird 19.

Bird 20. Half male half female this one!

Doing an impression of a River Warbler

Bird 21. Another different first year male

Bird 22 Another rather odd looking bird

Think this is also another individual, cant find a decent match with the others but may be wrong

Think this is bird 1

Poole Harbour big day

First day out of the year, lots of things to count and not much time for photo listing today
Highlight of the day was finding 6+ Water Pipits at Wytch Causeway

Record shot of 2 of them

1266 Dunlin that were flushed from Hamworthy Marina breakwater, now up to 10 on my yearlist!

You may be realising now that some of the photos are not going to be quite up to the usual standard!

Last stop the Starling roost at Sterte. This was only a part of them

Yearlist

I probably havent thought this through but thought it would be fun to try and do a photographic yearlist. Have kind of got a target in mind but will have to see how things go.
I have currently got man flu and cant go out so have only managed 4 today!

Lap Bunt Steart

Back at Hinkley for another 4 days. Not very inspiring really although there was a highlight.
This Lap was heard flying around in the mist a few times before I eventually managed to pick it up a couple of hours later. Watched it drop onto the ground and headed straight for it. This was the closest I got before it again took flight with some Linnets.

Shame didnt get nearer as it was a rather smart male that had presumably already started its moult into summer plumage judging by the extent of black
